Video has always been a major and the most popular method of communication with audiences. The visual impact created by videos can’t be ignored as it has often captured the imagination of a wide audience time after time. However, with the pace of globalization and growth of online users, “streaming video”, the new technology is gaining its popularity. It is the process of converting video and audio into a compressed digital format, and then distributing the data through computer networks.
Changing Scenario
Over the past couple of years, streaming videos over web pages has caught on with an increase in the available bandwidth and internet connection speeds. In fact its growth has widely influenced various fields such as national, international news and lots others. Acting as a great tool many news websites and video search engines are making the best use of streaming videos. For some these video streams are viewed as extensions to television news coverage and for some it is acting as better replacements for television sets.
Today with the growth of competition, every news channel is using streaming videos for distributing news over the Internet. Besides this, among news savvy this new concept is gaining more popularity. An individual is free and does not require sitting through an hour of news to get to the news stories that he/she really wants to hear or watch. If an individual is interested in today’s stories dealing with the daily markets, then he or she is only few clicks away. Whatever be their preference, the online streaming video allows them to view or hear online news clip as per their preference. Moreover today we even have various video search engines that allow us to view different news streaming videos in accordance to different news category like political, business, sports or environment news.

Following the release of one of my more politically inclined columns, I was accused by a reader of being an ultra conservative. The reader based his comments on established stereotypes of conservatives which I personally find distasteful. Such images have become rather old and tiresome, but were still effective in last year’s elections. These stereotypes were concocted by the Media over time and inevitably raise their ugly heads during election time. What concerns me though is these images are simply fallacious and aimed at misleading people away from the true issues at hand. Let me give you some prime examples of conservative stereotypes:
CONSERVATIVES ARE PRO-BUSINESS, EVEN AT THE EXPENSE OF SQUASHING ANYTHING THAT GETS IN THEIR WAY, INCLUDING THE LITTLE GUY.
I think it is no secret that conservatives believe in the free enterprise system, the land of opportunity, and an honest day’s wage for an honest day’s work, but I do not believe they are as ruthless as they are portrayed. They are unapologetic capitalists who want less government control, not more. Conservatives tend to see government as the servant of the people, not the other way around. This drives anybody opposed to this way of thinking absolutely crazy, particularly socialists and communists. It’s no small wonder that capitalists are portrayed as “fat-cats” who profit off the worker.
The reality is that you will find just as many liberals in the board room as you will find conservatives. Further, anyone who has faced the realities and risks of starting up his/her own company, particularly a small business, is somewhat inclined to appreciate capitalist principles.

What do you do after you have changed out the light bulbs that will not cost you an arm and a leg? Actually there are a number of products that I will cover in this article that don’t cost much but can save you a lot of money.
Whether you believe in global warming or not, conserving energy makes sense on many levels. I have been in the conservation business since 1992 and have always understood that as much as we want to do what is right for the planet, unless I could prove the economic value of a product not many people would buy it.
Here are some options you might not have considered yet (and if you have, why haven’t you implemented them?) Some ideas have not been traditionally thought of as energy conservation strategies but at closer look they are. Other ideas have been around for awhile but recent advancements might mean it’s time for an upgrade.
For the purposes of this article I am going to focus on products that reduce hot water consumption. Studies show that 30% to 40% of water consumed in a residential environment is heated.
I am going to assume that you have already installed low-flow showerheads and aerators, low-flush toilets and replaced your energy wasting light bulbs. If you haven’t, bookmark this page and go do it.
Idea #1
Check your building pressure: Higher pressure means that more water is being forced through the low-flow faucets and aerators you installed. Since they are already restricting flow, reduce the pressure in 5 psi increments until the service level is no longer satisfactory. It is difficult to say what pressure is the right pressure – it changes from building to building. If you have a pressure regulator already installed there is no cost to implementing this strategy – experiment with it.

Lately it has been outlined in the press that although the price of crude oil has dropped 15% in the past three weeks, the average price at the pump has gone down much more slowly. Over the same time period, the average price at the pump for a gallon of regular gas has only gone down 3%.
According to leading experts, motorists are getting hosed, because the dealers at the pump wait several days before they pass on the savings to their customers, effectively padding their bottom line. So even with the slight relief, gas-saving awareness remains very high. Not to mention that high gas prices have also forced us to look for cleaner alternatives to oil.
If we decrease our oil consumption in favor of cleaner technologies, we not only decrease our personal energy bill and our nation’s dependence on foreign oil, but we also contribute to helping the environment, which is a win-win situation.
While we would all love to drive a hybrid, it’s not feasible for all of us right now (and the waiting lists on those babies are just increasing by the day). With that in mind, let’s see what we can do to get the most out of our current cars. Here are a few of the suggestions I’ve found online to make our gas take us farther. Some of them are obvious, others I find to be doubtful
*Combine trips. Cut down on the short trips. Those are the most inefficient ones: your car’s engine is not warm yet and thus doesn’t run as efficiently as it could. So it’s a good thing to visit as many places as possible in one trip, as you’ll get a better mileage. Plus fewer trips means less gas.
